Introduction

OK, I am at lunch right now with 15 more minutes to kill and I am trying to figure out what to say to introduce myself to those who don't know me. I have been blogging for years but always start one and stop when I get bored. This time I promise myself I will "try" to comment to writing in my blog. Yeah Right! My blog is usually about my virtual life which I have some what backed off. In order to get you up to current events I need to tell you a little about the past. I have been playing online games for years now... YEARS!!. Many of my co workers and friends think I am crazy and I must have nothing to do with my life. They are all right. Naw not really, there is a reason for my madness. Let me give you a brief back ground about how I got started with my Virtual Life. I first got introduced to the Internet by a coworker name Patricia. I use to have to stay at work for a few hours after my shift. My then husband and I worked the same job but different shifts. I worked the earlier shift giving me 3 hours to wait on him in our call centered. I was telling Patricia one night how bored it was getting just watching TV while I waited. She suggest I go on the Internet and look at sites to pass the time. She knew I had this great love for collecting Barbie dolls and showed me the Barbie site http://www.barbie.com/ that was 9 years ago, the rest is history. There begin my online life and my soon to be virtual world. I started learning about chat rooms from another friend of mine and begin to chat to several people from around the states. I even chatted with my now husband who at the time was living in NY and me here in California. (another story I will one day tell you about) I started to learn how to download music, upload photos, work on my own website, and just over all be nosey. I made a yahoo account, then a hot mail account and then an AOL account known to those in the Internet world as "Irresistible Baby" I had a bit of a fan club with my over all winning persona. ROFL!! My first computer was purchase for me by a friend name Michael. I had a major back injury and had to be off work for six months. I could not sit, stand, or lay for long lenghts of time. I had meet Michael in an AOL chat room and he became a very close friend of mine. One day UPS came to my door with several packages addressed to me, enclosed was my first Dell computer. Michael had gotten in for me to keep in touch (wonder how he is doing). I downloaded music, kept in contact with my chat friends and just enjoyed my talking to the outside world. Being unable to really go anywhere make me more involved in my online line. . My game life begin when my ex husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday (which is 02/27 by the way, write that down WRITE IT DOWN NOW!!). Being a smart ass at the time, a commercial came on TV about a game called the ttp://www.thesims.com/ . I said get me that, not thinking his ass would get it, he never did shit I told him to do before. But guess what he gave me wrapped in a brown paper bag, the game the sims. I played it for all of 20 minutes and got bored. My son Jeff then played it and came into the room and guided me to how to play. After an hour of learning I was HOOKED!! I played GOD to my sims who obeyed my every command. They slept when I said sleep, ate when i said eat, worked when I said work, played when I said play. THEY WERE MY SLAVES!! I made homes for them, they had families, they were at my command. They were for my amusement. Ii remember being on the computer one night for several hours trying to made my sim work enough to have her get some extras for her home. My ex husband politely told me I should "marry the game" since I was on it all the time. I am sure that was the reason for our divorce. HAHAHA!! I even had a love affair on line with my now husband. As I said before he lived in NY and me here in Cali we communicated via emails, chats, etc. Until he finally came here from NY and took me away from it all (another story maybe later to be share. I did enjoy the sims getting every expansion pack they offered getting hyped up each time they would bring a new one out. Like a little kid I was be at Target buying the new game and downloading it. I would go to the sims website to see what was new. A year after playing the sims the website introduced they would be soon launching a game called the http://www.thesimsonline.com/ where you and other sim fans could play TOGETHER!! OMG BECKY!! I was thrilled, excited, happy happy joy joy. I send an email to them giving them my serial number of my game and much to my surprise they told me I could join the online beta. After talking to my husband for several days about the pros and cons of maybe giving up my sims and playing online I decided not to join the beta testing. I regretted it several months later when i decided to finally play the online game. My online life begin with a sim name "Ahlisa" why I picked the name I will NEVER know. Ahlisa had her own virtual home, with a garden, a outside pool table and small mini golf course (or at least I called it that) She even had a swimming pool and a small guest house in the back with a full kitchen. She was like a virtual Barbie (btw they have virtual barbie on line now too http://www.barbiegirl.com/ for little ones that is). I would skill her up daily and she made major virtual cash in which I spend to expand my home and get things for it. Those days are long grow in tso, you go now it is a virtual graveyard. Dennis aka Sinned played it briefly almost a year and a half ago. We had a pet store and some other little business but we made our money from going to other skill houses. ahhhh memories
