Where are you Josie?

Today at work Vic, Carlos and I were just talking about how we were as kids. I found out some INTERESTING things about Vic and Carlos both were pyromaniacs in the making, yeah BOTH!!! I think tried to remember things that made me possibly stand out from other kids. I remember how spoiled I was and how much I was into television. So much so that when I was a kid and it was time for my bath (which as I do now I would stay in it for hours on end). My grandmother would unplug our old black and white TV and roll the stand in which it was placed on to the door of the bathroom and allowed me to watch TV while I bathe. I wanted to watch, My three sons, Petticoat Junction and Family Affairs. WOW!!! Did I just AGE myself in a matter of 3 seconds. I remember having Barbie Dolls Puppet shows at school, lol. Damn I think I was a geek everyone. I remember that I was the one who would put the bulbs and lights on almost everyone tree in our complex. I earned a little extra money doing that each year. I remember believer in Santa until I was 13 I think. I remember I use to draw, color and write short stories all while I sat on the floor of our apartment all day long. I think I still have that in me but now my pencils and paper are replaced with a keyboard and a monitor. I was raised by my grandmother until I was 15 and moved in with my mother. A lot of things come to mind. However, the most strangest thing I guess lasted a little over a year. I was a lonely kidd, shy, quiet and not sure of much. (I know sooo much not like how I am now). But because of this I befriended an imaginary friend name "Josie". Josie blue eyed, dressed in a flowered dress and had Blondie pigtails. Now you wonder why I remembered hos she looked? because my past tells me I could see her. Why you ask was she blonde and blue eyed when I was black and native american. THe fact that growing up in those days at age 7 the only people who were on tv were white. You didnt really relate to anyone on the TV because you (me for example) was black and native American (denying that heritage until I was in Junior high). I remember my grandmother being so patience with me and Josie. She sat a plate for her each night I would ask her too, she would pretend to speak to Josie when I would say she told her HI and she would allow Josie to be in the tub as long as we two didn't get the floor too wet. Now I do remember even tho its been over 40 years that I "seen Josie" but my grandmother never did (or did she). My most funniest memory of Josie was when we went to a Caterina called "Clifton's where I was picking up doubles of everything lol. Double meatloaf, double corn, double greens, double chocolate cake. lol Grandma asked me what was I doing with all that food "Sam, baby are you that hungry?", " NOOO", I replied "It's for Josie, she has to eat too" rofl. Grandma looked at me as if to say "ok something is wrong with my baby and I need to get her HELP!!! but before that I am not paying the Josie game with this food". My gram took the food off my tray and begin to put them back. "You can share with her" she said lol. "no gram-mama I can't she eats too much" WOW the things you remember I wonder where Josie is. In my heart somewhere, in my mind way back. one thing is for sure she is not forgotten. MANGO!!!
